Lee Street to Close Aug. 17–27 for Railroad Crossing Work Published on August 12, 2026 Union Pacific will replace the railroad tracks and nearby pavement at the Lee Street (U.S. 14/45) crossing in downtown Des Plaines.To complete the work, Lee Street will be closed between Ellinwood Street and Miner Street from 9 a.m. Monday, Aug. 17, through 5 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 27.
